Deep within the enchanting rolling meadows, lived a young shepherd. His existence was pure, simple yet virtuous. His only responsibility was to tend to his website flock of sheep.

The boy laughed at the confusion on their faces. This trick continued for a few days more. But, one noon, a real wolf did come to prey the herd. The shepherd boy ran for help, shouting “Wolf, Wolf!” But this time, no one showed up.
Frustrated and alone, the boy struggled against the wolf but could protect only few of his sheep. Devastated, he returned to the village only to be met with a reprimand on honesty and the consequences of false alarms.
His tale of this shepherd boy has been passed down generations as a mediaeval parable for teaching the value of honesty, the consequences of lying and the risks of false alarms. Moreover, it stresses how trust once violated, is hard to reclaim. It's a story as relevant today as it was then.
